Tuesday 10 November 2009. Speech of br. Abdurahman Linzag Assalaam u alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh Good morning to you all. Respected leaders of the various Muslim communities worldwide coming from far and near to participate in this historical event here in Qing Dao- China. I submit that this event is no possible without the kind invitation of the Muslim Association of China. Specifically the Shangdong Islamic Association who has hosted this event which was also been made possible by the indispensible cooperation and approval of the Chinese government. On behalf of the World Halal Council, a global federation of all Halal certifying bodies and authoritie, I am honored to express our united expression of thanks and gratitude to all those who have helped and contributed to the success of today’s affair. Indeed Halal certification is admittedly a global certification for quality which the Muslim world and the Halal certifiers should consider with great care as this is one of the Islamic principles that the whole Humankind has gradually accepted as also good for them. Having been exposed into various communities worldwide specially on food preparations we have seen the need for Halal certified products which are guaranteed by credible certifying bodies and we are pleased to inform you that these bodies are present today as participants of the AGM this year. The World Halal Council is still in its infant stage as the need for Halal certification has just been felt and recognized throughout the world. Therefore the responsibility for it to succeed is in our hands and I am glad to note that despite several problems and differences amongst us; still we have succeeded somehow in putting up a permanent direction for this organization. The effort that has been made by each participant as well as by our host in today’s event is a demonstration that the World Halal Council, which has gained global acceptance as a world body, will succeed. May I dare for congratulate our host and all the Muslim leaders of different communities in China who have come all the way from their various ethnic origin to join hands with us in today’s event as much as I also do want congratulate all the participants and observers coming from different parts of the world only to witness the unfolding of today’s event. May I dare for express our sincere thanks and appreciation for all those efforts and may the almighty Allah SWT accept this act of sacrifice. |
